Dutch Inflation Rate Slows to 2.6% in November
The inflation rate in the Netherlands inched lower to 2.6 percent year-on-year in November 2019 from 2.7 percent in the previous month. Inflation eased for housing and utilities (3.1% vs 3.3% in October); transport (2.5% vs 3.0%); food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.3% vs 4.9%); clothing and footwear (1.4% vs 1.9%), and restaurants and hotels (3.8% vs 4.2%). Meanwhile, inflation accelerated for furnishings & household equipment (1.4% vs 1.0%) The annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco fell to a four-month low of 2.1 percent in November from 2.4 percent in October. On a monthly basis, consumer prices dropped 0.4 percent, after a 0.4 percent gain in the previous month.

Dutch Inflation Edges Up to 2.7% in October
The inflation rate in the Netherlands inched higher to 2.7 percent year-on-year in October 2019 from 2.6 percent in the previous month. Inflation accelerated for transport (3.0% vs 2.2% in September); food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.9% vs 4.8%), and recreation and culture (2.6% vs 2.3%). Meanwhile, inflation slowed for housing and utilities (3.3% vs 3.5%); furnishings & household equipment (1.0% vs 1.3%); clothing and footwear (1.9% vs 3.9%), and restaurants and hotels (4.2% vs 5.8%). The annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco rose to 2.4 percent in October from 2.2 percent in September. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.4 percent, after a 0.6 percent drop in the previous month.

The inflation rate in the Netherlands declined to 2.6 percent year-on-year in September 2019 from 2.8 percent in the previous month. Prices rose softer for housing and utilities (3.5% vs 3.6% in August); transport (2.2% vs 2.3%); furnishings & household equipment (1.3% vs 2.0%) and clothing and footwear (3.9% vs 5.6%). Meantime, inflation was steady for food and non-alcoholic beverages (at 4.8%) and restaurants and hotels (at 5.8%). On the other hand, prices went up faster for recreation and culture (2.3% vs 1.5%). The annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco dropped to 2.2 percent in September from 2.5 percent in August. On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.6 percent, after a 0.4 percent gain in the previous month.

Dutch Inflation Rate Rises to 4-Month High of 2.8%
The inflation rate in the Netherlands increased to 2.8 percent year-on-year in August 2019 from 2.5 percent in the previous month. This was the highest inflation rate since April, as prices rose faster for recreation and culture (1.5 pct vs 1.0 pct in July); furnishing and household equipment (2.0 pct vs 1.7 pct); restaurants and hotels (5.8 pct vs 5.3 pct); while clothing and footwear prices rebounded sharply (5.6 pct vs -0.3 pct). On the other hand, prices went up softer for: housing and utilities (3.6 pct vs 3.7 pct); transport (2.3 percent vs 2.5 pct), and food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.8 pct vs 4.9 pct). Meantime, annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco surged to 2.5 percent in August from 1.9 percent in July. It marked the highest annual core inflation rate since September 2013. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.4 percent, after a 1 percent gain in the previous month.

Dutch Inflation Rate Slows to 2.5% in July
The inflation rate in the Netherlands fell to 2.5 percent year-on-year in July 2019 from 2.7 percent in the previous month, as prices rose at softer pace for both housing and utilities (3.7 pct vs 4.0 pct in June) and recreation and culture (1.0 pct vs 2.3 pct) while transport inflation was steady (at 2.5 pct). On the other hand, prices went up faster for: food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.9 pct vs 4.5 pct); restaurants and hotels (5.3 pct vs 4.9 pct), and furnishing and household equipment (1.7 pct vs 0.2 pct). Meantime, clothing and footwear prices continued to decline (-0.3 pct vs -0.7 pct). Annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco stood at 1.9 percent in July, the same as in June. On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 1 percent, after a 0.1 percent drop in the previous month. This was the first monthly increase in consumer prices since April and the highest inflation since July 2018.

The inflation rate in the Netherlands increased to 2.7 percent year-on-year in June 2019 from 2.4 percent in the previous month, as prices rose at faster pace for: transport (2.5 percent vs 2.2 percent in May); food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.5 percent vs 3.5 percent); restaurants and hotels (4.9 percent vs 3.9 percent), and recreation and culture (2.3 percent vs 1.8 percent). On the other hand, prices went up softer for both housing and utilities (4.0 percent vs 4.2 percent) and furnishing and household equipment (0.2 percent vs 1.3 percent). In addition, clothing and footwear prices declined less than a month earlier (-0.7 percent vs -1.7 percent). Annual core inflation, which excludes energy, food, alcohol, and tobacco increased to 1.9 percent in June from 1.6 percent in May. On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged down 0.1 percent, the same pace as in the previous month.
